As the top-line versions of the VW Golf, GTI models have a good amount of standard equipment. Standard features for 2013 include air conditioning, cruise control, height-adjustable front bucket seats, a center console, heated power mirrors and power windows and door locks. There's also an AM/FM/cassette/CD player with a Monsoon sound system for your listening pleasure. A Leather Package is optional for 2013. It adds leather upholstery, heated front seats and heated washer nozzles.
The optional Cold Weather Package features heated front seats and heated windshield washer nozzles. Available only on the VR6 model, the extra-cost Technology Package offers automatic climate control, an auto day/night rearview mirror, and speed-sensitive rain-sensing wipers. The GTI returns for 2013 with only minor changes. Both the 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels receive a new design, as well as the front wipers. Additionally, seatbelt and fuel cap warning lights have been added to the instrument cluster. The OnStar Telematics Communication System is being newly offered for this year as an option on all models.
