All the models are front wheel drive with stainless steel exhaust system and 110 Amps alternators for the all the trims of Galant. 4-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control is standard for DE and ES models. Sportronic� 4-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control and clutchless manual shift mode is standard for LS and GTS models.

Refined impact safety evolution (RISE) chassis is standard for all trims. Front independent suspension with MacPherson Struts is standard with independent Multi-link rear suspension with coil springs. Anti-sway bar has standard figure of (mm.,front/rear) as 22.0/19.0 for DE and ES models. Speed sensitive, power-assist rack-and-pinion steering is provided, with steering ratio as 17.07:1 as standard for all . Curb-to-Curb turning diameter in ft. is 37.4 for all except GTS having it as 40.0. Power-assist ventilated front disc/ solid rear disc brakes (in., front/rear) 10.9/10.3 is standard for DE and ES. Power-assist ventilated front disc and solid rear disc brakes of in. 11.6/10.3 are standard for LS and GTS. Antilock braking system (ABS) and Traction control system (Sportronic� AT only) is standard for LS and GTS trims. Wheels are 16 x 6.5 steel with 7 spoke cover for DE, ES and LS, and 17 x 7 with five spokes for GTS. Standard all-season tires are P215/60 R16 for DE, ES and LE and P215/55 R17 for GTS.
