Both the FX models have the following specifications. FX45 has 4.5-liter 32-valve V8 engine type and FX35 has 3.5-liter 24-valve V6 engine. Horsepower of FX45 is 315 hp at 6400 RPM whereas 280 hp at 6200 RPM for FX35. Torque so generated by the two is 329 lb-ft at 4,000 RPM by FX45 and 270 LB-ft at 4800 RPM by FX35. FX35 has an option of rear wheel drive (2WD) or all wheel drive, while FX 45 is only available with all wheel drive option. FX45 Valvetrain has double overhead cam (DOHC) 4 valves per cylinder with microfinished camshafts and Titanium intake and exhaust valves along with continuously variable valve timing control system (CVVTCS). FX35 Valvetrain has same features except Titanium valves. Intake system for FX45 is variable-flow induction system whereas for FX35 it is high-flow tuned induction system.
