2013 Chevy S10 Pickup Review Pictures
The
Chevy S10 Pickup has always been proud of their powerful engines.
No matter if you use your S-10 for off-roading, towing or everyday
use, Chevy Vortec engines have the strength you need. Choose either
the standard Vortec "00 four-cylinder or the available Vortec 4300
V6 and you'll get the torque you need to haul, tow or pass with confidence.
Both the five-speed manual transmission and available four-speed automatic
transmission provide smooth predictable shifts, even when you carry
heavy loads. And when you match the available Vortec 4300 V6 with
the available four-speed automatic transmission, you get a trailer
rating of up to 6,000 lb. The 2013 Chevy s10 pickup truck is designed
to keep up with your rugged lifestyle. Along with four real doors
and standard seating for five i.e. six with the optional 60/40 split-bench
seat, Crew Cab 4x4 models feature numerous standard amenities.
S-10 models have more front headroom and front shoulder room than
comparable Ford Ranger models. And all S-10 Pickup models provide
a commanding view of the road and easy-to-read analog instrumentation,
as well as air conditioning, behind-seat storage, cruise control,
front bucket seats, power locks, and a sliding rear window. Easy enter
and exit -- just the right height off the ground. Got 31,000 on it,
and absolutely no problems. The 4.3 V6 has very good power though
a bit noisy and the auto trans shifts very nicely - could never live
with the 4cyl version. Very good ride for a compact pickup and the
handling is very good for this type of vehicle. Optional bucket seats
are a vast improvement over the 2013 Chevy s10 pickup standard interior
The Vortec engines enhance 2013 Chevy s10 pickup ZR2 extreme truck
performance to provide the dependable power you need. Most S-10 trucks
offer a choice of a Vortec 2200 four-cylinder engine or a Vortec 4300
V6 engine. The Vortec 2200 four-cylinder engine provides 120 hp at
5000 rpm and 140 lb.-ft. of torque at 3600 rpm, while the Vortec 4300
V6 engine provides 250 lb.-ft. of torque at 2800 rpm. The Chevy S10
Pickup's engines offer variable-ratio power steering, and are easy
to maintain, as well, considering that engine coolant change intervals
are up to five years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. All
S-10 Pickup models are designed and engineered with a comprehensive
safety system that includes collision avoidance, occupant protection
and personal security features for peace of mind. Some of these safety
measures include a steel-ladder type frame, two-stage multi-leaf rear
springs, daytime running lamps, crush zones, side door beams, PASS
lock system, remote keyless entry, and, of course, driver and passenger
side airbags.
